ABOUT CBRS

The Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) is a range of wireless spectrum frequencies (between 3.55 and 3.7 GHz) that the first Trump Administration chose to set aside as an “innovation band” for new use cases like private 5G networks and rural wireless services.

 

Since launching in 2020, CBRS has quickly emerged as America’s 5G Manufacturing Band, powering private enterprise networks from factories and ports to oil refineries and chemical plants. CBRS users have deployed more base station radios in the technology’s first five years than the legacy cellular industry has deployed over four decades – and critically, this hardware is designed and built by American companies investing and hiring right here at home.
